Chip Stopper Set for Fret Removal

Set of 2 chip stoppers made from 0.4mm steel, designed to protect the fretboard wood during fret removal. Each stopper has a 1 × 74.3mm slot that allows it to slide under the fret crown once extraction has begun, placing the steel between the fret puller and the fretboard surface to prevent chipping and marks on the wood.

The set includes two pieces, allowing the second stopper to be placed over the first once the fret has been lifted sufficiently, increasing support and enabling gradual elevation of the fret with the puller. Their dimensions of 137 × 18mm are compatible with standard guitar fretboard widths.

The steel may have sharp edges on one side as a result of the cutting process. Always place the smooth side against the fretboard or lightly sand any sharp edges before use. Weight per piece: 12g.
