Micro-Mesh Starter Kit General Description:

The Micro-Mesh Starter Kit is ideal for luthiers looking to experiment with a unique, high-performance abrasive. This kit includes 9 sheets of 76.2 x 101.6 mm micro-mesh, each with a different grit, from 1500 to 12,000, and a small foam backing block for ease of use.

The sanding block included in the kit has dimensions of 47x 76 x 76 x 25 mm, making it easy to hold and handle. The Micro-Mesh sheets are also conveniently sized, allowing you to work with precision and detail. Micro-Mesh is a unique, fluffy abrasive that uses a silicon carbide crystal on an elastic layer and cloth backing.

This allows the cutting particles to float and therefore make smooth, precise cuts with very little heat build-up. Micro-Mesh is durable and holds its edge up to sixteen times longer than standard sandpapers. For a high-quality finish, it can be used with soapy water and achieves a mirror finish without scratches. Kerosene can also be used as a lubricant if preferred.

Micro-Mesh is very versatile and can be used for multiple repair and refinishing jobs, including final finish polishing and fret cleaning.
