Description of Magnet Polarity Tester

This simple tool will help you determine the north or south side of a magnet.

When building pickups, it is extremely important to have the correct magnetic orientation before winding the coil. Also great for testing existing pickups and verifying the authenticity of a pickup.

To use: Place the Magnet Polarity Tester over a pickup magnet. This can be a single magnet or a pre-assembled magnet.

Red side up = pickup / magnet north side
Blue side up = pickup/magnet south side

Important: The tester uses a small but powerful neodymium magnet. Keep away from credit cards and data devices (USB drive / HDD).
