The CTS 500 K audio potentiometer with a long-thread knurled shaft is a high-quality component designed to deliver precise and reliable tone or volume control in Les Paul–style guitars and other instruments with carved or thick tops.

It features a logarithmic (audio) taper and a tight ±10% resistance tolerance for smooth, progressive response. The brass split shaft with 24 fine splines ensures compatibility with imperial-size push-on knobs (not metric). With a thread diameter of 9.52 mm (3/8") and a long thread length of 19 mm (3/4"), it’s ideal for guitars with thick tops or carved maple caps. Supplied with one flat washer, one lock washer, and one hex nut for secure mounting.
