• Description: Purple Heart, also known as Amaranth, is a wood that its cutting color is a gray brown but on contact with air oxidizes and the fantastic dark violet that we use for our guitars appears. It has its peculiarity in their different sizes and shapes buds that make Purple Heart a very attractive wood. The fiber is straight and the grain varies from fine to medium. The drying rate is from slow to normal and deformation or cracks may occur. The wood is easy to work but requires using powerful equipments.
