Description of La Bella 2001 Flamenco Guitar Strings Light

Flamenco 2001 Light Tension strings produce the most authentic Flamenco sound available today. They are recommended for vintage guitars or guitars of very light construction. They produce maximum volume and silky brilliance with minimal tension in the neck, top and bridge.

These strings were developed in collaboration with leading flamenco guitarists. All designs have been tested and refined for over two years in recitals, recording studios and tablados.

The black nylon trebles have more power, brilliance and durability than any other string design on the market. The silver-plated bass strings have exceptional tuning memory and consistent tone production.

They are packaged with MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) technology to prevent rust and ensure freshness.

Brothers Emilio and Olinto Mari left the family business to seek new opportunities in America. They manufactured gut and steel strings in their small apartment in lower Manhattan. As word spread among area musicians, so did the popularity of their product. A local music store took a liking to the brothers' high-quality, handmade strings and made them an offer to help them expand. Brothers Emilio and Olinto Mari moved to New York and quickly became known for their high quality handmade strings. The strings are produced under the brand names La Preferita, Sweetone, Criterion and New-Tone. The first factory opened in 1914 at 170 Fifth Avenue.

Today, E. & O. Mari/La Bella is still a family-owned and operated company that produces the finest quality strings in the world. La Bella is one of the most respected string manufacturers in the United States and distributes approximately 2000 different string models worldwide for all types of instruments. It manufactures them with the latest technologies to offer strings with the maximum guarantees and reliability.
