Overview Flame Maple Veneer Sheet Marquetry 550x200x0,5mm:
Wood veneer is one of our most demanded products. It has different uses in the construction of stringed musical instruments: It is generally used for guitar profiles, combining different colors or various curved pieces of solid wood. It is also used in the manufacture of the rosettes of guitars, classical, flamenco and acoustic, or ukuleles, for instance, previously cut into tiny strips and composing intricate patterns. But wood veneer, either natural or colored, can also be used for the binding in the body of electric guitars and basses, to form part of the fingerboard inlays... The uses of natural wood veneer are unlimited in the field of luthiery.
In this case, the veneer is Flame Maple, the wood traditionally used for the backs, sides and necks of stringed instruments. This maple has alternating patterns, called curl or flame, that give it an incredible three-dimensional appearance. In many cases, veneered pieces of this wood are more attractive than their solid counterparts.
