Overview Chanter Boxwood Galician Bagpipe C 320x45x45 mm:

In Maderas Barber we have available all the necessary sizes to build your Galician bagpipe. These pieces have the perfect dimensions to construct the Chanter of a Galician bagpipe in C.

Boxwood, probably the hardest wood used in the old continent before the appearance of exotic woods, continues to be one of the favorite woods in the construction of bagpipes. Its hardness, together with the ease with which it turns and the level of detail and filigree it allows are some of its many points in its favor. The only problem with this wood, the small available size of its pieces, is not even such for all those who, like bagpipe builders, do not need large sections. Its light color, between yellow and ochre, is really attractive, and the softness of its touch once worked is frankly good.

Features:

  • Dimensions: 320x45x45 mm
  • Botanical name: Buxus Sempervirens
  • Origin: Spain
  • Density: 970 Kg/m3
