Jescar Fret Wire 2.69 mm Nickel Silver FW39106-236-NS Roll 450 g
This Jescar FW39106-236 fret wire roll is made of nickel silver and comes coiled for convenient use in instrument building and repair. With a crown width of 0.106" (2.69 mm), a crown height of 0.039" (0.99 mm), and a tang width of 0.0236" (0.60 mm), it is ideal for refretting vintage guitars, especially 1960s Gibson models.
This fretwire is considered low jumbo, with a wide crown and very low height, perfect for vintage-style refrets. It closely resembles the wire used on 1950s and 1960s Gibson Les Paul Customs, known as Fretless Wonders for their smooth, almost fretless feel.
Manufactured in the USA, Jescar's nickel silver fret wire provides an excellent balance between durability and workability, making it a preferred choice among luthiers for high-performance instruments.
Note: Nickel silver is an alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc, commonly used in fret manufacturing for its wear resistance and bright tonal response.
