Purpose of the Hosco TL-SF3 file

A correct levelling of the bottom of the saddle slot on acoustic, classical and flamenco guitars is essential to achieve an optimal transmission of the vibrations between the strings and the top of the instrument through the wood of the bridge. Either in the construction of the guitar itself, or in subsequent repair or maintenance tasks of the instrument, when installing or changing a piezo, carving a new bone saddle, etc., this file is the right tool for you.

It has an abrasive zone on both edges, while the faces are smooth so as not to widen or damage the groove walls. The ends are rounded to adapt to the shape of the slot and to ensure that it can be correctly levelled along its entire length. This file has a thickness of 3mm, ideal for working on Gibson and Taylor saddles, for example.
