This wood has been naturally dried for over 20 years, a process that greatly improves its dimensional and structural stability and its acoustic properties. The slow and even loss of moisture minimizes the risk of warping and results in a richer, clearer, and more balanced sound response. Its structure becomes lighter and more resonant, enhancing a bright, warm tone with greater projection. Over time, the wood also gains a unique beauty and maturity, highly appreciated by demanding luthiers and musicians.

Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) is a lightweight and durable wood, highly valued for its bright, dry, and percussive tone, ideal for crafting flamenco guitars. Easy to glue and work with, it also offers a pleasant feel and a quick response. It is the preferred choice for the famous blanca guitars, while also adding a distinctive character to classical guitars. Its light color gradually develops into warmer shades, and its distinctive aroma brings a unique aesthetic and sensory appeal to each instrument.

In AA quality, you will find woods with straight grain pattern, uniform color across most of the piece, and practically free of defects (such as knots or pink streaks). Only one step below AAA quality due to minor details, they are still excellent and worthy of being used in top-level guitars.
