The Brankowood® Brown fingerboard is a sustainable, stable alternative to Indian rosewood. Made from FSC 100% certified Pinus radiata and stabilized with natural resins, it offers a durable, moisture-resistant material with notably uniform color.

Compatibility by size: the 720 x 105 x 9 mm format is a universal blank for 4-, 5- and 6-string bass, fretted or fretless. The 105 mm width supports wide layouts (24 frets and moderate multiscale), and the 9 mm thickness allows radiusing (e.g., 10"–20"), with ample stock for setup and future leveling. For extreme designs, please verify templates and margins.

This stabilized fingerboard is produced with a controlled moisture reduction to ≈5%, ensuring excellent dimensional stability under climate changes. Its density approaches that of Indian rosewood, providing comparable acoustic properties and a firm feel under the fingers.

Thanks to the material’s homogeneity after stabilization, it offers very friendly workability: easy to sand and finish, with reduced chipping and grain variation.
