Cello Fingerboards

Cello fingerboards in African ebony, an extremely high-density wood selected to withstand the heavy string tension of the cello's low-pitched strings. The cello fingerboard is considerably longer than the violin fingerboard, with a scale length of approximately 690 mm. Unslotted luthier-grade pieces selected at Maderas Barber for density, straight grain and stability.
