Often compared to the sought after and prized Brazilian Rosewood, Madagascar Rosewood is a dense, chocolate brown wood with marked streaks and excellent tonal qualities. Like the former, it also belongs to the Dalbergia genus and is spectacularly beautiful, with alternating dark and lighter patterns in all shades of brown, which are especially noticeable when plain sawn.
