Overview Neck Shims for Stratocaster 0,5 mm:

With this 0.5 mm thick maple neck shim, you can correct the height of the guitar neck pocket. All sorts of materials are often used to correct this type of defect, from picks to trimmed business cards. This creates uneven surfaces with unnecessary gaps under the heel of the neck, which can cause moisture to accumulate and swell the wood.

These shims are already cut to the exact profile of the heel pocket, saving you time. They are also really economical. You can use one or more stacked shims to get the height you want or carefully sand them to give them a little angle to correct any deviation in the neck.

The description is wrong… it is not a wedge :-)

Ok, this piece of wood is straight = it is not a wedge = cannot be used to angle guitar neck unless you sand it yourself.

Definition of a wedge is the following:

“a piece of wood, metal, etc. having one thick end and tapering to a thin edge, that is driven between two objects or parts of an object to secure or separate them.
"the door was secured by a wedge"”

This piece if wood they call a heel shim is dead accurately 0.5 mm over the whole piece, It is not tapered, so it is not a wedge and I cannot use it for getting an angle on my guitar neck. Luckily I had some other heel shims. They’re wedge shaped and tapered :-)

Sorry for the bad review. Otherwise love your products, but this piece of wood just does not do, what it is meant to :-)
