BOTANIC NAME: Ulmus minor

ORIGIN: Central and southern Europe

DESCRIPTION: It has a density of 630-680 Kg/m3. Its heartwood color is light brown or reddish brown, with very marked growth rings and a thick texture.

RECOMMENDATIONS: It is easy to work, hard to split and very resistant to rot if it stays wet.

USE: It is used for woodturning, shipbuilding, mine piles, etc.
