SCIENTIFIC NAME: Fagus sylvatica

ORIGIN: Europe

DESCRIPTION: It has a density of 710 Kg/m3. It has black grains due to the fungus that penetrates the wet wood but this process is interrupted once the wood is dried.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Its drying is difficult since it presents risks of deformations, colorations and cuts.

USE: Ideal for lathe and knife handles.
