ORIGIN: Europe

DESCRIPTION: It has a density of 690 Kg/m3. It is a semi-heavy wood and its tonalities can be very varied. Its heartwood is a golden brown, darkening to a medium/reddish brown with age. Its sapwood is a pale yellowish white. It has a straight grain, with a uniform medium texture and it has a good natural luster.

RECOMMENDATIONS: It responds well to both hand and machine tools. It turns, glues, and finishes well.

USE: It is used to make turned objects, fence posts and furniture.
