Overview Cocobolo English Horn Bell 140x70x70 mm:

At the furthest end from the player is the bell, which in the English horn has a characteristic pear shape. This bell -called Liebesfuß- of the cor anglais gives it a more rounded timbre than that of the oboe, closer in tonal quality to the oboe d'amore.

Cocobolo, one of the most spectacular woods in our extensive catalog, is also a reference wood for woodwind instrument makers. The reasons are multiple: its hardness, brightness, spectacular finish without the need for excessive sanding or oiling... in addition to the sound, highly valued by the builders. As if this were not enough, add to this its astonishing look, with a myriad of tones ranging from a vivid orange to a deep purple, often blended in the same piece with striking results.
  • Dimensions: 140x70x70 mm
  • Botanical name: Dalbergia retusa
  • Origin: Central America
  • Density: 990-1250 Kg/m3

Requires CITES Certificate for export out of the European Union
